We’re pleased to announce another update for WorldsCrafter. This one doesn’t come with any major features, but does include a number of bug fixes and usability improvements. We’ve also updated some of our mobile views to make using the application a bit easier on smaller device sizes. For those interested in a breakdown of the updates, here’s the full list:

Update List

  • Fixed a bug where Wiki menus would permanently stay open.

  • Fixed an issue where map pins would auto-save without user input.

  • Add edit button to entity view.

  • Added player notes to sessions.

  • Fixed table sorting.

  • Rooms now properly persist when saving taverns.

  • All entity links now open in side panel by default.

  • Added a loading state to tables.

  • Added parent location option to locations.

  • Fixed rumors in tavern generation.

  • Fixed sizing for details card in entity view.

  • When editing from the side panel it should not close itself.

  • Tags are now visible in details view for entities.

  • Added a hover state to player notes.

  • Adjust mobile view sizing for entity view, both edit and view.

Most of these are fairly small additions but should improve the usability for the application.

What’s Next?

We’ve got a lot more on the way and plan to be rolling out small fixes over the next two weeks. These will mostly be similar to the above list, lots of small usability and bug fixes. We have a large backlog of small tweaks and plan to knock out several of them each week.

Outside of that, we also have some larger features planned. Our current work is related to a relationship viewer which will let you see the web of interconnections between different entities. The initial concept was a family tree for characters, but we’ve since decided to expand it to work for all entities. We plan to have a base version released in the next two weeks, and then have some additional improvements to make post-release. Stay tuned for more news on that.

We’ve also begun to run some paid advertising to bring more users into the application. Our main goal with this is to start gathering user feedback so we can better prioritize features.

That’s all of this update. Stay tuned, and make sure to follow us on social media to stay up to date with the latest news and features.
