We're very excited to announcing the latest update to WorldsCrafter. It's been a while since our last update, but we've been hard at work getting the application into a state that we feel makes it much easier to use and more feature filled. Here, we'll briefly detail what's new along with some upcoming changes we're working on.

New Blog

First things first, welcome to the new blog! We put a lot of work to completely redesign and rebuild our blog and this is the inaugural post for it.

We want this blog moving forward to be so much more than just news posts. We have plans for releasing content related to world building, map making, and more, with the goal of ultimately helping you create the best worlds possible. Our current plan is to create weekly posts, so check back often to stay up to date both with WorldsCrafter as well as to learn more about world building in general.

App Updates

We also have a number of updates that we've pushed live to the app over the past few weeks. There's a lot to cover, so in the interest of time we'll go through each point quickly. 1. Drag and Drop Quest Steps - Not only does this make using quests easier, but it also sets us up to add similar functionality to the rest of the site. 2. Update UI For Quests - We cleaned up the quests view and made it easier to use. 3. Add Map Marker Descriptions - For text map markers added the ability to assign a text description to it. 4. Allow Players To Have Items - Lets users link items to players the same way it is done with characters. 5. Add Spell Check To Rich Text Editor - No more frustrating misspellings, get feedback right in the editor.

6. Random Tavern Integration - Generate random taverns complete with food, drink, patrons and more; then save them right in the app for later use. 7. Bug Fixes, Bug Fixes, Bug Fixes! - Dozens of small bug fixes and UI improvements.

What's Next?

As you can see we've been busy, but it doesn't stop there. We have several pieces of work that we have on our roadmap for the coming months. These include lots of little fixes, but also larger projects like our reminder system and in-app tabs, just to name two. We're super excited for what this year will bring, and by the end expect to have the best world building software available! You don't want to miss it! That's all for now, stay tuned for weekly updates, blog posts, and more! - The WorldsCrafter Team
