We are pleased to announce our most recent release, 1.1.2, is now live and available for all users. This update comes with some significant improvements to our map builder and pins system, along with a handful of other bug fixes across the application.

Map Builder Updates

The biggest changes in this update come with our map builder system. We’ve completely overhauled how we handle pins and points of interest, and this should allow much more customizability when creating maps.

The biggest change you’ll see is the new pin builder system. Instead of providing a handful of pre-built pins, you’ll now be able to create your own custom pins by selecting your own color and pin icons. We’ve also introduced some additional functionality like having a pin with only the image, allowing only labels, and much more. We’ve also reworked the UI and functionality of the map builder as a whole to make it easier to use on mobile and touchscreen devices.

We’ve also enabled map-to-map linking, which allows you to create pins and link another map to it. In this way, you can create nested maps, for example, a location in a city. We’ll be iterating on this functionality in the coming weeks to make it easy to use.

Other Updates

Outside of the main updates to the map builder we’ve also made a variety of other improvements. Here are the highlights:

1. Update the extras tabs for small devices - Extras for entities, like inventory, will now properly wrap on mobile devices.

2. Added getting started block to dashboard - The first step in a formal onboarding flow, this will help new users get up to speed quicker.

3. Update delete icon - We’ve changed the delete icon used throughout the site to make it easier to tell at a glance what it does.

4. Signup/Login Background images - We’ve updated how these images look on mobile devices.

5. Change map builder background - The map builder background is now a grid to make it easier to tell where the map area is.

That’s all for this update. Stay tuned next week as we plan to release the long-awaited tab system which will make swapping between different entities easier than ever.
